Team Two Wheel Motorsport Race Report from Walton

Walton 2008 will go down in history as one heck of a great weekend. The entire team earned personal best's, and won two national championships in the progress.

The week's action started on Tuesday morning with all the teams getting situated and making last minute adjustments to the bike's, to be in the best shape possible to make a full scale assault on the freshly groomed track. The track was the stuff of dreams, with perfect moisture content, terrific dozer work, and great track maintenance.

The week started off under cloudy skies with Bobby Davies putting his Two Wheel backed KX 250F on the box with a third place finish, showing that he wanted to be in this fight to the end, knowing that consistency is the key to the three race format. As the week progressed he put his KXF on the box again and again to reap the rewards on Saturday night with two national championships in the MX2 and MX3 junior classes.

Graeme Nelson rode his KX450F to a personal best in the super fast plus twenty five class taking a top five finish. "This bike is the greatest bike I've ever ridden", said Graeme after his final moto. When Saturday finally came he achieved an eighth place in the vet class to finish the weekend off. This goes down as the most successful weekend of his twenty year racing career.   (He's not old, he started young.)

Kim Emery showed that she's still got the speed needed to run with the front runners and put her Pro Action suspended KX250F into the top ten with an eighth place finish, edging out a fellow Kawasaki rider.  The intense action led Kim to comment that, "it was the most fun she had had all season".

Jamie Hajgato had a tough weekend but pulled though by getting a ninth place finish in the MX1 junior class and getting personal best's in his other two classes. Jason Rauwerda suffered from poor starts and fished 31st and 29th in his two classes respectively. Ryan Lillie had a terrible crash while running fifth in the MX2 on Wednesday in the intermediate class, forcing him to sit out the weekend while Cody Golem was out of the action with a knee injury suffered the Saturday prior to Walton.

None of this would ever be possible without our great sponsors Two Wheel Motorsport, Pro Action suspension, Canadian Kawasaki Motors, RK race engines, Fly Race Wear, Factory Effex, Dragon Optics, Ogio bags, Two Brothers exhausts, Easton handle bars and Motos For Moms. We thank you all very much for your continued support.
