Kawasaki's Ninja H2 SX models are where luxury and performance reach stunning new heights. The Balanced Supercharged Engine was developed for everyday street-riding situations for relaxed long-distance riding, thrilling acceleration and superb fuel efficiency. Enjoy your exhilarating ride with premium features that make the supercharged bike stand apart as an icon of sport performance, luxury and style.
The Ninja H2 SX’s Balanced Supercharged Engine was designed to offer both power and fuel efficiency. Its in-house designed supercharger allows high-efficiency operation over a wider range of conditions than could be provided by any other typical supercharger. As a result of the supercharger’s efficiency, no large, heavy intercooler is required to cool the compressed air.
To match the airflow requirements of the Balanced Supercharged Engine, the Ninja H2 SX was designed with a Ram Air duct which routes fresh air to the supercharger in as straight a line as possible, contributing to the increased supercharger efficiency. Air supplied to the supercharger enters via a single Ram Air intake in the left side of the upper cowl to optimise flow.
The shape and angle of the Ninja H2 SX’s supercharger impeller blades are optimised for the high-efficiency engine. The complex impeller is formed from a forged aluminum block using a 5-axis CNC machining center for precision and durability. Grooves etched into the blade surfaces help direct the airflow.
The planetary gear train runs off the crankshaft—with speed stepped up by an intermediary gear—ultimately producing an impeller rotation of 9.2x the crank speed.
The Balanced Supercharged Engine delivers both exhilarating acceleration and superb fuel efficiency. The key to achieving this balance was increasing the engine’s thermal efficiency by utilising a high compression ratio. Designed for high-performance racing engines, the premium dog-ring transmission enables smooth, precise, quick shifting. Rather than shifting gears into place, the gears in this configuration stay in place, with the lightweight dog rings moving to engage the gears. A high-quality hydraulic Assist & Slipper clutch minimises wheel chatter caused by rapid downshifting and self-adjusts to ensure consistent performance and smooth actuation.
The Ninja H2 SX’s Balanced Supercharged Engine creates unprecedented power for remarkable acceleration and superb fuel efficiency. The heavy growl of the boosted litre-class engine is a sound the streets won't soon forget.
This next-level system enables predictive and adaptive electronics for precise chassis orientation awareness. Compact IMU enables inertia along 6 Degrees of Freedom to be monitored. Acceleration along longitudinal, transverse and vertical axes plus roll rate and pitch are measured. The yaw rate is calculated by the ECU using Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modeling software.
Using the latest evolution of advanced modeling software and feedback, KCMF monitors engine and chassis parameters throughout the corner—from entry, through the apex, to corner exit—modulating brake force and engine power to facilitate smooth transitions from acceleration to braking and back again while also assisting riders in holding their intended line through the corner.
Whereas many competitive traction control systems react to wheel-slip, KTRC, enhanced with feedback from the IMU, predicts conditions and acts before slippage exceeds the range for optimal traction. When turned on, riders can choose from 3 modes, allowing riders to choose the degree in which each mode intervenes during riding. Riders may also elect to turn the system off.
The instrumentation design combines a full digital LCD screen with an analogue-style tachometer. On the standard model, a LCD screen features a negative display (white characters on a black background), contributing to the high-quality image. On the SE and SE+ models, a full-colour TFT LCD screen with multiple display modes enables information to be shown graphically.
The Ninja H2 SX comes with three power modes: Full, Middle and Low, allowing riders to select power delivery to suit their preference and riding conditions.
The Ninja H2 SX motorcycle is equipped with LED lights from headlight to taillight.
Key enhancements bring Kawasaki’s finest electronics management technology to the Ninja H2 SX, resulting in precise chassis orientation awareness that assists the rider’s ability to adapt to a wide range of street-riding conditions and scenarios.
Supersport-sourced suspension delivers a combination of ride comfort and sport performance ideal for street riding and touring. Both front and rear suspension are fully adjustable, allowing riders to make adjustments to suit riding style and conditions. And a remote rear preload adjuster greatly facilitates making changes to accommodate a passenger and/or luggage. On the Ninja H2 SX SE+, KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) offers both the suppleness to deliver riding comfort in a wide range of riding situations, as well as the firm damping to facilitate sport riding.
At the front, two massive ø320 mm semi-floating discs are gripped by dual radial-mount, opposed 4-piston, monobloc calipers, delivering strong braking force and superb feel. At the rear, a ø250 mm disc with twin-piston caliper provides strong braking performance.
The IMU-enhanced Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) is a supersport-grade high-precision multi-sensing ABS brake assistance system that uses high-precision control to modulate brake pressure during sport riding.
The cast aluminum wheels were designed for optimised rigidity, which contributes to high-speed stability whether riding alone, or with a passenger and cargo. The star-pattern 5-spoke wheel design offers optimum rigidity for high-power performance at highway speeds.
The lightweight trellis frame provides strength to harness the incredible power of the Balanced Supercharged Engine and features a balanced flex to achieve optimal rigidity for both sport riding and comfortable sport touring. The Ninja H2 SX shares a trellis frame design similar to that of its Ninja H2 and Ninja H2R counterparts, but it has been completely redesigned to accommodate a passenger and luggage.
The massive power of the Ninja H2 SX’s Balanced Supercharged Engine demands a multitude of high-performance components to ensure an effortless yet powerful experience to dominate the open road.
The clean-mount saddlebag system allows the KQR 28L Hard Saddlebag* set to be easily attached and removed for increased convenience.
The Ninja H2 SX motorcycle’s superb fuel efficiency combined with a 19-litre fuel tank delivers outstanding cruising range. Added comfort comes thanks to a balance of wind protection and aerodynamics produced by the full-fairing bodywork.
A simple press of a button allows the rider to set a desired speed to enable relaxing cruising and enhanced riding comfort.
LED cornering lights, sets of three lights built into each side of the fairing, help illuminate the road when cornering at night. Each of the three lights has a fixed direction and is activated based on lean angle. As the bike leans over, the lights come on in order, creating a wider illuminated path in the direction the bike is heading.
The sporty yet relaxed riding position of the Ninja H2 SX accommodates solo and 2-up riding for a wide variety of riding situations.
