Canadian Kawasaki Motors Inc. (CKM) is looking for a Government Compliance and Relations professional to join our Service & Warranty team at our Toronto head office. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying ahead of regulatory change and wants to play a direct role in keeping a major automotive/powersports brand compliant across Canada.
Summary
About the Role
This is an in person role based full-time out of our Toronto head office. Reporting into the Service & Warranty Support team, you'll own government compliance and relations for CKM, tracking current and upcoming regulations that affect our industry, and making sure the company stays ahead of them. You'll also support the team with technical report preparation.
At Kawasaki, our team members wear many hats. The duties below reflect the core of the role, but you should be comfortable jumping in wherever the business needs support.
Responsibilities
    What You'll Do:

    Regulatory & Government Reporting
    Manage Environmental Handling Charge (EHC) reporting for tires, oil, oil filters, and coolant, and maintain compliance as new products are introduced
    Manage PFAS reporting in coordination with the US team
    Manage Blue Box (Extended Producer Responsibility) reporting in coordination with the US team
    Ensure compliance with Quebec language laws for applicable documentation and communications
    Liaise with legal counsel on regulatory and compliance matters as needed
    Act as CKM's liaison with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and Transport Canada (TC)
    Prepare compliance letters for customers exporting units
    Represent CKM at Moto Canada meetings
    Monitor regulatory developments across the powersports industry
    Recall Reporting, ECCC, TC and Health Canada
Education and Experience

    What We're Looking For


    A genuine passion for the powersports industry
    Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-starter approach to research and reporting
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with government bodies, legal counsel, and internal teams
    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PDF editing/document management tools
    Ability to manage multiple ongoing compliance files and deadlines simultaneously
    Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively across departments and with our US counterparts
    Motorcycle license and boat license are strong assets
    Motorcycle Technician certification/experience is a bonus
    Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset
    Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset, but relevant experience will also be considered

Temporary Bilingual Consumer/Dealer Liaison

Located at our Toronto head office, the Consumer/Dealer Liaison will be working closely with our Service and Warranty Support Team. You will be responsible for all consumer satisfaction related contact, before and after sales, and assisting our Service and Warranty Team with Dealer communication, publications, and assisting with the delivery of technical information to aid our dealers. Your primary duty is as liaison between Kawasaki consumers and Kawasaki dealers. You will provide creative solutions to customer and dealer concerns with the goal of improved customer satisfaction while meeting company quality standards. 

Secondary duties include administration of customer-based programs, assisting with the preparation and delivery of technical reports, technical training information, various other duties and special projects to assist our customers and dealers in both official languages.

You will provide creative solutions to customer and dealer concerns with the goal of improved customer satisfaction while meeting company quality standards.


    Secondary duties include administration of customer-based programs, assisting with the preparation and delivery of technical reports, technical training information, various other duties and special projects to assist our customers and dealers in both official languages.

Education and Experience

    Minimum 2 years Customer Relations experience

Qualifications

    Minimum Skills

    路         Fluent in English and French for both spoken and written word.

    路         Possess an outgoing, positive personality relating to consumer relations.

    路         Self-starter, able to work unassisted and within group projects.

    路         Confident with Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    路         Technical aptitude highly recommended, experience with Power Sports is an asset.

    路         Willingness to learn, evolve, and adapt with the market and the job requirements.
