Rea Wins as Ninja ZX-10RR goes 1-2

Kawasaki Racing Team riders, Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes, dominated the grid during the Superbike World Championship race weekend in Assen, Netherlands on April 28-30th. The two riders on their Ninja ZX-10RR secured first and second on the podium for both races, results which put them 1-2 at the head of the championship rankings. Race two had Sykes closing in to within 0.025 seconds of victory, but Rea held on to secure another double success.
Rea's win gave him a clean sweep at Assen, with him having the fastest lap in both races plus Superpole. The victory marks his third double win of the season, his seventh season victory, his 45th career win in WorldSBK and his 30th individual race win for Kawasaki.
In the championship points standings, Rea has 195 points and Tom is second overall with 131. The next round takes place May 13-14 in Imola, Italy.
