Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Eli Tomac entered the final round of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross Championship just nine points out of the championship lead.  For the final 450SX Main Event of the year, Tomac made an aggressive pass in the final lap that resulted in him surrendering the lead to finish second place. Tomac's relentless effort guided him to second overall in the 2017 450SX Championship standings. For the 250SX Main Event, Kawasaki came into Round 17 with the Western Regional Championship already wrapped up and only one point down in the Eastern Regional Championship. When the gate dropped on the 250SX Main Event and the fastest 250SX class racers from both coasts came together for the first time this season, there was no stopping the No. 36 machine, Cianciarulo, as he led wire-to-wire for his second victory of the season with a five-margin victory over Kawasaki’s Western Regional Champion, Justin Hill.  Cianciarulo finished second in the 250SX Eastern...

As the 450SX Main Event kicked off, Tomac came around Turn 1 in fourth place, with Josh Grant outside the top-10. Tomac wasted no time racing his KX™450F into the lead on Lap 2. Shortly after taking over the lead, Tomac would go down in a corner and remount in 15th. When the checkers flew, Tomac crossed the line in eighth place with teammate Grant ahead in seventh. Tomac now sits in second place in the overall standings, nine points down from the leader. After wrapping up the 250SX West Region Championship last weekend, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki was beaming with confidence. After winning Heat Race 1, Adam Cianciarulo captured the 250SX Main Event holeshot on his KX™250F. Teammate and East Region points leader, Joey...
