The Ninja H2R was designed to be the ultimate motorcycle. Developed for closed-course riding, it delivers an exhilarating performance experience free from the limitations of street-legal riding. The supercharged engine offers intense acceleration, an ultra-high top speed, supersport-level handling performance and a sensory experience surpassing anything that riders can find today.
Ninja H2E Model Information
Much of the Ninja H2R’s advanced technology was developed in cooperation with other companies in the Kawasaki Heavy Industries group. Its supercharged engine was designed with know-how gained from the gas turbine used to power 30-megawatt cogeneration systems. Its piston crown shape was determined with experience gained from the 18-cylinder Green Gas Engine power plant, which boasts a generating capacity of 7.5 megawatts. Aerodynamic wings were designed by Kawasaki’s Aerospace Company using the latest CFD analysis technology. The River Mark proudly displayed on the upper cowl of the Ninja H2R is a testament to the advanced technological know-how shared across the KHI Group that can be found throughout its innovative engine and chassis designs. The Ninja H2R is the direct application of 136 years of KHI intelligence.
High Design, High-Precision
The Ninja H2R design and production employs an unprecedented level of custom-crafted, high-precision beauty. Kawasaki technicians produce an entire bike from start to finish with meticulous, hand-crafted attention to detail that ensures manufacturing excellence and, as such, employs an unprecedented level of custom fitting, high-precision beauty. An impeller formed from a forged aluminium block using a 5-axis CNC machining centre to ensure precision and durability. A supercharger designed within the KHI Group by the Gas Turbine, Aerospace and Corporate Technology Divisions. A planetary gear train using technology from Kawasaki Aerospace. A combustion chamber formed by machining for precise control of the chamber volume. A lighter, internally designed flat piston crown design. A new dog-ring transmission commonly found in MotoGP or Formula 1. The Ninja H2R’s evolutionary, game-changing design could not have been produced by anyone but Kawasaki, with unrivalled design and unmatched precision.
As speed increases, wind resistance increases exponentially. To be able to operate in the ultra-high speed range, a combination of high power and slippery aerodynamics was needed. With power requirements taken care of by the supercharged engine, the next step was to design bodywork that both minimized drag and enhanced control at higher speeds. The traditional, aggressive forward-canted stance of modern supersport design was eliminated to reduce drag and enable the Ninja H2R to achieve ultra-high speeds. The stance is very neutral, almost flat like a Formula 1 car to optimize aerodynamics. Kawasaki’s Aerospace Company was enlisted in creating the aerodynamically sculpted bodywork to ensure maximum aerodynamic efficiency. Aerodynamic devices such as the cowl’s chin spoiler and upper and lower wings with winglets generate downforce that ensure the front wheel has strong contact with the ground.

In order to be able to offer intense acceleration and a top speed in a range that most riders have never experienced, it was essential that the engine be able to produce big power, while ensuring a lightweight, compact overall package. Using a supercharged engine enabled unprecedented maximum power output from an engine size on par with other supersport litre-class power units. Designed in-house, the immense potential of the highly compact, highly efficient, supercharged 998 cm3 In-Line Four engine is a testament to the combined intelligence of the KHI Group. From custom cylinder head designs to customized water jackets, large coolant passageways, simple lubrication and innovative oil jet systems – all function synergistically to keep the engine cool and able to operate at ultra-high speeds and temperatures.

Please note: Production capacity is highly limited due to the Ninja H2R’s custom production methods, thus limiting the total number of units available globally. A priority customer list will be created and time stamped at time of deposit. Based on consumer global demand all orders may not be filled.
Ninja® H2R™ Vehicle Acknowledgement
The Ninja H2R is a closed course riding use only model and is not manufactured for use on public roads, streets or highways. All usage of this vehicle should be limited to riding on a closed course.
Parts designed specifically for the Ninja H2R are for closed course riding use only and cannot be purchased without proof of H2R ownership (product registration, VIN confirmation, etc.).
The exhaust sound level of the Ninja H2R at the time of factory shipment is 120 dB/A using Auto Cycle Union (ACU) guidelines. It is the owner’s responsibility to confirm that noise regulations of closed courses permit vehicles reaching this level of exhaust sound. Changes to the exhaust system may alter performance and sound level.
Usage, Maintenance and Warranty
As a closed course riding use only model, specific procedures must be followed when riding and maintaining the Ninja H2R:
Do not replace the tires on the Ninja H2R with any other brand and model than those offered as standard equipment:
Front: Bridgestone, Racing Battlax V01F Soft
Rear: Bridgestone, Racing Battlax V01R Medium
Kawasaki does not approve Bridgestone, Racing Battlax V02F & V02R tires for Ninja H2R usage.
To prevent loss of tire grip, always use tire warmers to heat tires prior to riding the Ninja H2R. Cold tires do not provide sufficient grip and may cause loss of vehicle control and/or a crash which could result in injury or death.
When storing the Ninja H2R, always use front and rear motorcycle stands that keep both tires off the ground. This will prevent tire deformation and adverse impacts on performance.
In addition to regular periodic maintenance, service inspections are required every 15 hours of engine operation above 8,000r/min (rpm). These service intervals are monitored through the vehicle’s ECU with service messages displayed on the multifunction meter. (See Owner’s Manual for additional information)
The Ninja H2R is sold “As is” with no warranties, express or implied. The purchaser accepts all responsibilities concerning cost of service, maintenance and repairs.
