Team Jabouri Racing Race Report - Parry Sound

The ever popular Sport Bike Rally once again returned to Parry Sound under perfect skies - unlike round 1 a week earlier in Quebec. A large and enthusiastic crowd greeted the racers at this unique lake-side track.

For Adam Jabouri, 16, the weekend started in a great way as he was instantly quick and a fan favourite during Saturday practice as he put on a show with big power slides and wheelies on his Kawasaki KX450. Sunday, race day, was another great day with one of the most competitive, stacked Pro grids seen in Canada.

In the Pro 450 class, Adam's pace was upset as he suffered from a poor start that had him in last place at the end of lap one. Pushing hard to get back to the front, he fell in the increasingly rough dirt section, but quickly remounted and began to push even harder, which resulted in a minor get-off in the hair-pin turn. Despite the drama, he still finished in 8th place as others had some problems of their own.

"I was mad at myself for the bad start and lost my rhythm for the track" said Jabouri at the end of the day "the Pro Open race went better even though I still had to get through the field I finished 7th, dicing with Peter Marcelli on the factory Suzuki - again! Having AMA regular Ryan Kerr up here was good - I don't think he realized how competitive we are up here in Canada!"
