Heidi Cooke turned in another dominate performance, once again scoring perfect 1-1 moto scores. With one round remaining,Heidi currently holds a 33pt lead over reigning womens champ Jolene Van Vugt.I will be taking Heidi to the final round in Sand Del Lee Ontario in mid August, with the goal of bringing back the womens National number one plate for Kawasaki and Freedom Cycle!!
At Port Elgin,Freedom Cycle,Team Green Kawasaki Racing nailed down the MX2 spring series championship with a 3-3 finish from our champion Kyle Elliott.Kyle played it safe to secure the championship, his first pro title.David Estabrooks rode solidly all day to secure third place in the championship. This gives Kawasaki first and third places in the spring series, excellent work from our riders.Kyle Elliott continued using yours truly's KX450 to run rampant over the MX1 competitors.Kyle used moto scores of 1-3 to secure first overall for the day.David Estabrooks rode solidly all day to a fifth place finish, securing third place in the spring series MX1 championship.Congratulations to both riders!!Kyle will continue in both classes for the fall series, and along with David Estabrooks,we hope to bring in some more hardware.
Our regional support riders turned in some solid finishes at the event as well, and Kawasaki has been showing VERY strongly as a result. The next event is the Nation at Riverglade where Kyle Elliott and David Estabrooks will try to qualify for the main events. Our regional riders will run the amature event on Saturday with the hopes of putting more Kawasaki's on the podium!!
