May 13 Pemberton BC Championship Round 3
June 19, 2007
Round 3 at Pemberton, just down the road from famous Whistler Mountain, started off well for Brady, but unfortunately his race day ended early this week. The track was rough and dusty, as there was over 400 riders and the watering system was not adequate with the sun and wind.
In the first 250F moto, he started mid-pack and patiently made pass after pass on his way to the front, picking great lines along the way, and won the 22 min. moto in convincing fashion. Next up was the 450 class, and Brady got a great holeshot, and was pulling away from the strongest field of pros yet this series, but fell over at the end of the second lap, and while he was picking up his bike, got hit hard from behind, destroying his Pro Circuit exhaust and causing him to DNF in that class.
Another nice holeshot started off Moto 2 in the 250F class, but Brady crashed in corner 2 and got run over and jammed his thumb. He tried to get up and ride, but it hurt too much to continue. We are hopeful to still make it to Hangtown for Round 1 of the AMA National Series this weekend.
