Kenny Riedmann has a strong start at the Canadian Superbike Championship Opener
June 10, 2016
Kenny Riedmann had a strong weekend on board his Sturgess Cycle Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja ZX-10R at the opening round of the Canadian Superbike Championship at Shannonville Motorsports Park on May 27-29
Kenny Riedmann showed the power and handling prowess of the 2016 Ninja ZX-6R as he took the win in the Pro Sportbike class . Riedmann, who started from pole, took the lead on board his Sturgess Cycle Ninja ZX-6R on the first lap and never looked back. Maintaining a safe gap throughout the race, and finishing nearly 4 seconds ahead of former Superbike Champion Michael Taylor on his Triumph 675 who took 2nd.
In the Pro Superbike class Riedmann had some tough competition with the strongest field in many, many years. He fought throughout the whole race in the top three and showed what the 2016 Ninja ZX-10R is capable of. In the end he finished a very strong second, not bad for the first race with a brand new machine!
Next round is at the Autodrome St. Eustache, Quebec where Riedmann looks to make it two for two in Pro Sportbike and take the top spot in Pro Superbike.
