Kahuna Kawasaki’s Vicki Schouten heads south for preseason training
February 29, 2008
Kahuna Kawasaki’s Parts Canada and RACE Regional competitor, Vicki Schouten, is heading south for some preseason training action at the WERA National Endurance series opener at Roebling Road raceway in Savannah, Georgia on March 15. Teaming up with Vicki will be North Carolina resident and AMA Superbike commentator, Greg White, who is no stranger to the American roadracing scene.
Schouten and White will be racing the potent ZX-6R, Kawasaki’s middleweight flagship which won both the Canadian and AMA Supersport titles in 2007, with premier support from Kahuna Kawasaki and Canadian Kawasaki Motors.
While the team plans to race only select rounds of the WERA National Endurance series, this will be an excellent opportunity for Schouten to gain some valuable seat time before the busy Parts Canada and RACE Superseries kicks off in Canada in April.
According to Vicki, “I am really excited about the chance to race the WERA National Endurance series. It will be my first time competing in the United States and I could not think of a better team mate than someone as fun and committed as Greg! With tremendous support from Kahuna Powersports and Canadian Kawasaki Motors I know we are headed into the series well prepared and I am really looking forward to it!”
