Jordan Churcher's Race Report - June 1st

June 3, 2008

Saturday May 31st GopherDunes OPC

MX2 moto #1 pulled the holeshot and rode strong the hole moto and ended up in 3rd. Moto #2 it finally rained mid day saturday, the first corner was under water and I was running 3rd until I was splashed with mud and all my tearoffs were muddy.  I had to ride the moto with no goggles, I placed 5th overall at the end of the mud run. MX1 moto #1 came from the back of the pack and charged my way up to 3rd.  2nd moto rode strong throughout the moto and ended up with a 4th overall finish.

Sunday June 1st Pro National

Went out for the pro practice for MX2 felt good and strong while riding but nervous. First qualifier I got out in front and rode hard but smart at the same time and felt fast then missed out by an 1/8 of a second. Then went to the LCQ and qualified. First Pro MX2 moto lined up beside Tyler Medaglia and tried to keep up with him on the start but didnt last long I ended up 25th for the first moto. 2nd pro moto lined up beside Eric Nye and I tried to keep with him but couldn't keep up. I was running a strong 20th then dropped to 23rd, then a lapper got in my way and pushed me off the track and twisted my ankle. I ended up 31st in the second moto I placed 30th overall for my first pro race.
