Jordan Boon's Race Report - May 26th

May 26th Amateur National Qualifier at Paisley
After recovering from my injuries the last 2 weeks, it felt good to be racing again. However, my starts were killing me all day. In my 125 Junior qualifier I got caught in the gate which made me charge even harder through the pack to make it to the final qualifying position. Since I didn't get the best gate pick for the main, the start was that much more difficult, as well as a first corner pile-up, which left me playing catch up all over again for a finish of 22nd.
In the GP Junior qualifier I got caught up in the first corner crash, and it took me a while to get my bike started. Once again I had to make my way through the pack although this time I was just shy of the qualifying positions coming in 20th. In the LCQ I got the holeshot and won the moto, going on to place 17th in the main.
In my 250 Junior class I finished 8th in both motos. I was really pumped to have completed 7 motos in one day - injury free - and to know that my previous injuries had healed up.
Looking forward to the Provincial at my hometown track Gopher Dunes next weekend!
