Another win for Petar Petrov

August 18, 2015

Petar Petrov the latest recruit of the Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team is on a winning way, as the young Bulgarian got his second win on a row last weekend, just a few days after he celebrates his first GP podium in Lommel.

Based in Belgium since several years, Petar has some sand experience but racing in the Netherlands or in Belgium is never an easy task as many local riders are ‘sand experts’ even if they don’t always race the GP’s. For Petar who has now fully recovered from the broken collarbone who stopped temporary his GP campaign, the race of Mol Balen in the sandy track of Keiheuvel was another great experience as he dominates all his rivals with the fastest lap time in the qualifying session, and two heat wins. Petar who spend time with the team to set up his factory Kawasaki during the GP break will now move to the next rounds of the World Championship confident, with two other sandy GP’s (Mantova in Italy this weekend and Assen in the Netherlands one week later) at his program.
Petar Petrov: “It was another good day, I had a good feeling and that was nice to win both races here. But the most important for me is my starts, we worked a lot with the team and I’m happy as I got two very good starts. After these two wins, In Markelo and here, I’m looking forward to Mantova and hope to have also a good weekend there.”
