Walton Race Report - Two Wheel
August 23, 2007
After a long and injury ridden summer, the team came together for their most
successful weekend of the year.
Kim Emery was consistent all weekend, earning herself an 8th place in the very fast women's Walton title class, but only after netting a national ranking of #7 in the Women's National Series. A very proud and hard fought accomplishment for the dedicated team.
Josh Snider, the lone pro rider on the team showed us why he is a
professional by finishing 3rd on the ultra fast KX450F in a stacked plus 25 class. This class was heated battle of will and came down to the last moto to see who would finish on the box.
The veteran of the team Graeme Nelson, showed his grit and determination in the plus 25 class after only three weeks earlier dislocating his shoulder. He finished in 10th place to the surprise of everyone.
Bobby Davies on his KX250F took the overall in the Junior B class after breaking his arm in two spots and was out of action for nine weeks. His
family pitched in and helped to the best of their ability to assist his
recovery and are happy to see the youngest in the family do so well.
Damin Waitman rode like a champion on his Two Wheel backed KX 85 after a huge first turn pile up to finish a very impressive 4th overall.
Jason Rauwerda and Cody Golem were impressive all weekend, finishing both classes's with mid pack overalls. These riders are and we hope to build on
these experiences for next year to once again put the Kawasaki name back on top of the amateur ranks.
The whole team would like to thank all the sponsors that helped us through
the year, Kawasaki Canada,Two Wheel Motorsport/Pro Action,N-style graphics,
Monster Energy, Fly Race Wear, Rick Sheren at Pro Circuit Canada, Renthal,
and Maxima Oils. With out you this program could not have been possible.
