Top Flight Season for Ninja ZX-10R and Fores

November 19, 2009

Spanish rider Javier Fores (Pedercini Kawasaki) finished only six points from a top three ranking in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup, taking four podium places, and with points scored in all 10 rounds.

The top placed Kawasaki rider in the overall standings, Fores was also just off the podium on three further occasions, proving that the combination of a strong rider and the expertly prepared Pedercini Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was a consistent threat to the best in this class, which is very closely based on standard roadgoing machinery.

The highlight for Fores was at the Czech round in July when he scored a second place, but he actually came closest to a win in a race that saw him finish fourth! At Donington in June, Javier was only 2.522 seconds from taking full points, but was still just off the podium.

Fores rounded off his season with third at the final round in Portimao, an outstanding effort once more by man, machine and team.

He stated, at the end of a year filled with highlights, "We worked very hard this season to achieve the goals we wanted to reach with our team and I want to thank all my technicians for their incredible job during the season. I'm of course very happy with my third place in the race and also for the fourth place in the championship standing."
