BOWMANVILLE, Ont. – Brantford, Ont.’s Jordan Szoke came back from a fall to win a wet and wild Yoshimura Pro 600 Sport Bike Championship race at Mosport International Raceway Saturday.

Heavy rain played havoc with the race schedule for the fourth round of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship and only the Pro 600 Sport Bike and Thunder classes were able to run their scheduled events. The Superbike feature class will run a pair of races on Sunday.

Szoke was the early leader of the Pro 600 Sport Bike race but the Canadian Kawasaki Motors rider crashed his ZX-6R in turn 5, bringing out a red flag. Szoke restarted from the back of the grid and proceeded to march his way to the front, finally edging Team Suzuki / Blackfoot / Picotte Performance rider Francis Martin and Team Toyota Yamaha / Fast Company’s Steve Crevier for the win.

The victory was Szoke’s third in the Pro 600 class this season. He extended his lead in the standings to 39 points over Crevier, 203-164, heading into Sunday’s second race in the doubleheader.
