Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki Moncton Race Report

August 3, 2015

August 4, 2015(Kamloops, BC) The 2015 CMRC Canadian Motocross National series moved to the East Coast this weekend as the series tackled the Riverglade MX track near Moncton, New Brunswick and the Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki team looked to put in a solid result with their riders, Brett Metcalfe and Cole Martinez.

With Teddy Maier’s injury last weekend, 2013 Canadian Champ, Metcalfe, was the lone MX1 rider and the Australian started things off well by qualifying 2nd. He grabbed a 6th place start in moto one and was working his way to the front when a mechanical issue knocked him out of the moto. He bounced back in moto two to grab 5th place and now sits 3rd in the MX1 title chase with two rounds remaining.

In MX2, Cole Martinez had his best race yet since coming back from injury as the Arizona native qualified 4th. In moto one he grabbed the early lead and led for a while before finishing 4th. A 5th in moto two gave him 4th overall on the day, tying his best Canadian finish yet and giving him a ton of confidence going into the final two rounds of the series.

The series now heads back to Quebec and the famous Ulverton track for round nine, next weekend. For more information on the CMRC Canadian Motocross series, visit
