Kaven Benoit Race Report - Moncton
August 11, 2009
Last weekend, I was in Moncton, New Brunswick, for the 7th round of the CMRC Nationals. The weather was sunny and the temperature was above 30 °C.
In the first race, I came out of the first corner in 4th. I was riding comfortably until the last turn, when I was caught by a lapper and I was passed by the current champion, Eric Nye. Because of that, I finished the race in 5th position.
In the second race, my powerful Kawasaki almost gave me a holeshot. I was 2nd in the first corner and I started to lead the race on the 2nd turn. I did my best to keep that position, but, by the middle of the race, I started to lose my energy because of the heat. I ended up finishing 7th and 6th overall for the day.
Next weekend I will be in Richmond, Ontario, for the second-last round of the CMRC Nationals. I aim for the top 5 or even a podium position.
