Jared Petruska Race Report - Raymond, AB.

I was so pumped heading into Raymond, I just got my new KX250F and loved it.  At the last minute I decided to pull out of the 85cc 12-16 and get into GP Junior, and GP Junior was my first moto on Thursday. I got last gate pick and had the very outside gate, I got a 7th place start and passed the race leader by the end of the first lap.  I pulled away and gained a substantial lead by the last lap but then crashed with half a lap to go and ended up 5th. I wasn't too happy!

The next moto on Thursday was Supermini, I had a mid place gate pick and headed into the first corner in 2nd place, I passed the first place rider on the second lap and headed out to a clean first place finish. In my Thursday moto for 125 Junior A, I got the holeshot and never looked back.

On Friday my first moto was Supermini, I headed out of the gate first and leading into the corner. Once I got that lead I never looked back. In my Junior A moto I got the holeshot and held a good lead for the entire race. In my GP Junior race I took the holeshot again and cleaned up pretty well.

On my Saturday races in GP Junior I needed to win this moto to finish first in overall points, I took the holeshot and the race, giving me a first overall finish! For GP Junior my results were 5-1-1. In the Supermini race I did not get a good start, I was around 10th in the first corner, and ended up finishing 2nd, finishing 1st place overall.  In Supermini I did 1-1-2.  In the Junior A race I took 2nd into the first corner and passed the first place rider on the second corner finishing first in all three motos, 125 Junior A 1-1-1.

I was very happy with my results for the week finishing up with the Three Championships and the most points of any amateur!

I was riding both my KX100 and my KX250F, and they were running awesome.
